THE SEASON OF FORGIVENESS
IT IS THE SEASON OF FORGIVENESS. Harry Bissoon 12/09/2022 " I take my curses back"... Langston Hughes. We live in structural settings, designed to regulate, guide, and point us to a way of life that is acceptable to the community in which we live. It is not always a straight and easy path to travel, and while many of us struggle to follow the norms and rules of society, and venture out willingly, or, unwittingly, to live as we see fit, the community watches and throws stones. What do we do with those who stray from these societal parameters? Do we ostracize them, or, do we, as living, hot blooded human beings, become their brother’s keepers and strive to keep them within the folds of good society? The sheep that has gone astray should not be left alone to wander in the wilderness but be forgiven and allowed to be a part of the community.
