IS IT MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING! The Case Of Guyana Political systems, and their inherent weaknesses and strengths, are rife for abuses by those who want to interpret, and manipulate them for their own ends! Democratic systems, created eons ago, and institutionalized by the Greeks when they structured the Greek City States, are, presumably, set up with parameters which enable the people to participate in the governance of a nation. Governance in a multicultural, pluralistic polity, is fraught with societal fissures that can easily present challenges to a well oiled democracy, especially when the power of major competing political parties is dependent on the graces of factions that are largely split on cultural, ethnic, and racial lines.
