CHICKEN CURRY CHICKEN

CURRY CHICKEN CURRYCould we settle this once, and for all? Maybe not!

Which is correct curry chicken or chicken curry?

"The correct terms to use are 'chicken curry'OR 'curried chicken' (not 'curry chicken'). They both refer to the same dish. ... In 'curried chicken', chicken is the noun and 'curried'is the past participle of the verb 'to curry' (meaning to make a curry out of meat, etc) acting as an adjective".

Both may be correct, depending on one's cultural heritage and traditions. People attach labels to food, which, over time, becomes permanent. We, in the Caribbean,  have been stuck with labels that we attach to various types of food. We can say Chicken Stew, or, Stewed  Chicken. Aloo  Curry, or, Curried Aloo

In India, they say  Chicken Tikka Masala and not Tikka Masala Chicken. In Thailand, it is Chicken in Red Curry. And, of course, we say Channa Curry!!!!!
