ENTHUSIASM
ENTHUSIASM - THE ESSENCE OF HEROISM
" Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
Let us then be up and doing.
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing.
Learn to labor and to wait." HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW
The enthusiasm and commitment of those in the frontlines of today's battles that threaten our existence to live, to love, to enjoy our inalienable rights, to live in freedom, and to enjoy a robust and healty life, make them our heroes!
You do not have to be a hero to jump into a raging river to save a drowning person! You do not have to be a hero to save a trapped animal! Be enthusiastic, committed and sincere about whatever you do. Let genuine and realistic hope, and a profound desire to do what is right, be your goal post in this life, where "Dust thou art, to dust returnest, was not spoken of the soul."
Those who are relentless and who persevere in fighting for basic human freedoms, and the right to have their voices heard, so that simple and enshrined democratic processes be respected, are our heroes.
In these times of disasters, diseases and natural, and unnatural attacks on our rights to live as wholesome beings, our heroes are those who fight, without reservations, to keep us safe.
Let your enthusiasm for life propel you to be a participant in all efforts to make our living space one of comfort and health, and freedom. The right to have our voices heard, the right to choose our leaders, and the right to respect the natural blessings of our world, should be our mantra.
