 MOTHERS ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH

An examination of pictures of the earth, taken from space, high above the outer limits of this planet, is very revealing. There are no recognizable boundaries, or, borders, separating the nations of planet earth! We do not see the national boundaries that we normally see on maps and diagrams!  


Superimpose this observation on motherhood, and you will see the same picture - a woman without any boundaries, with expressions of love, care, concern, and an unbiased capacity to defy boundaries when they are erected by others. A mother's love is pure, and simple, with an intensity that comes from deep within her bosom. She uses it with remarkable focus when it comes ro raising, protecting, and instilling good virtues in her children.


Her love is like the vastness of the earth. It takes on realistic and meaningful dimensions, when it comes to the relationship with her children, which is oftentimes filled with bickering and animosity, and which can create boundaries within her family structure. She tirelessly works to prevent those walls of hate and rivalry, with love and affection, and reaches to all in her family with careful counseling. 


It is troubling, at times, to see the splintering and breakups, in many families, when a mother is no longer around. Boundaries are created and walls are erected, separating family members who drift apart. The love and guidance of a mother are forces that keep the family together. Once that is lost, the family struggles to stay as a cohesive unit.


This stark reality must act as a catalyst, a leavening agent, as it were, to inspire all of us to salute all mothers, and to work together to win the war on the scourge of abuses that are committed against mothers and womanhood. 


Let us not trample on the rights of the woman! Let us ensure that motherhood remains a strong building block in our society and in our communities. Let us ensure that mothers are safe and respected! Let us ensure that motherhood keeps its rightful place in society!


MOTHERS DAY Must not only be celebrated on a calendar day, but must be done everyday, so as to keep love, compassion, goodness, strength, forbearance, and a bond that can hold the world together.


Mothers are not only the building blocks of the world, they are the salt of the earth. They add flavor to life, without which the world would be full of distastefulness.

FIRERASS  Harry Bissoon 2/13/2026 Mabel, up before sunrise, long before the cock, Natty, crows.  In haste, amidst hazy and foggy mist, she pushes herself to limits anew, to meet deadline, daily vows,   The light shines through neighba Aunty Breto's windows, in an eerie brightness.  It flashes,dances,and speeds into the still darkness,  Look! THE PANGS OF DEATH

Death is ever present, and  like a dark specter of doom, it hovers above and around us, waiting in the shadows to attack and devastate. It is envious of birth, which brings joy and happiness to us. Envious of our struggles down paths of thorns and roses.It follows us, breaching our defenses when and where we least expect it.
