MASTERS OF ILLUSION

We live in times when those who want to control us with ideas and mischievous fallacies, which have created structures that are now teetering on the brink of social collapse. Our masters of destiny, bred and born in a crucible that emerged from a Greek rennaisance, have experienced metamorphic restructuring. 
Be mindful that those who want to control us are a breed of people who are classified as politicians,and their inherent strengths are manifested in the art of control; control of people who are malleable to the whims and fanciful illusions of the masters of illusions. 

How easily can political innuendos switch from ideology and policy, to racism, demogogery, suppression, and undemocratic poetry, all in an effort to get the masses agreeable  and to make them do what they do not really want to do! 

All the nation states, fondly created by the fathers of Democratic systems, the Greeks, have employed these mechanisms to have us in bondage. We have become sophisticated slaves to the modern masters of unrealistic realism! 

History is replete with this unending demogogery and a maddening pursuit of power! Political power! A power to keep us, the masses, the people who toil to make the world, the space we live in, to continously revolve and to create fodder for those who strive to keep us in chains. 

Look hither and thither. Look around you and be enlightened. The world is in a continuous state of kaleidoscope madness. A madness engineered by those who want to hold on to political power. A madness that seeks to keep us, the people, in supplication and an unending state of destitution. 

In Venezuela, it seems as if democracy is cast away to the realms of uncertainty! But is it different than the USA where a political party caronates a candidate without the prescribed and stipulated Democratic systems and processes, created by  the Constitution. In The Middle East, Israel and Hamas continue to battle for lands that were, supposedly, inherent in their psyches. Iran, since the demise of the Shah, struggles for relevancy. China continues to expand in the wake of the great Genghis Khan. And Russia is embarking on a mission to regain the greatness of the Soviet Union, while Hamas, Hebollah, and Iran want to reestablish a dominant Arabic/Moslem Empire. And in the midst of all of this Multinational Corporations thrive in this malaise of degradation and political power struggle, in their exploitation of nations that were freed from colonization, to make them, once again, nations of serfs.

FIRERASS  Harry Bissoon 2/13/2026 Mabel, up before sunrise, long before the cock, Natty, crows.  In haste, amidst hazy and foggy mist, she pushes herself to limits anew, to meet deadline, daily vows,   The light shines through neighba Aunty Breto's windows, in an eerie brightness.  It flashes,dances,and speeds into the still darkness,  Look! THE PANGS OF DEATH

Death is ever present, and  like a dark specter of doom, it hovers above and around us, waiting in the shadows to attack and devastate. It is envious of birth, which brings joy and happiness to us. Envious of our struggles down paths of thorns and roses.It follows us, breaching our defenses when and where we least expect it. Maybe this is why some of us celebrate death and mourn the coming of new life. Maybe this is why some of us glorify death and its painful throes of the unfettered release of our souls to be free of the agonizing clutches of life.
