SHOCK AND AWE - INFORMATION APOCALYPSE

At the break of dawn, every morning, we are bombarded by an avalanche of information!  With lightening speed and hurrying haste, It strives  to contaminate, incul ate, and change our perception of things known and unknown. 


In my teenage years, growing up in the peace and tranquility of the country,  information travelled at a leisurely rate through space and time. hitting us with clarity, on matters of mundane, and outer realm perceptions, always accepted by all and sundry as established and established principles and mores of a simple life. 


Over recent times information technology has developed and advanced at an alarming rate, flooding us in a tsunami of fact and fiction. Social media has changed, and quickly replaced the way we get information, stifling the traditional means and methods of becoming aware. In yesteryear,we had ample time to examine, sift, and peruse information to determine validity, relevance, and practical applicability as new information confronted us. 


The information shock and awe of our present era leaves us challenged and fatigued as we navigate this tsunami. Many are forced to accept things because of the speed that they are thrown at us, but, take heed, you do not have to jump hastily into accepting anything that flashes before you. We are all wonderfully constructed to use our judgement in discerning fact from fiction. We all unique in our physiological and psychological development, and the levels of development that we have built over time, allows each of us to unleash inherent strengths and inspiration to be our own master. 


Of course, we are all subject to correction when we may be wrong in the face of established facts, relinquishing porous  theoretical concepts. 


Our central nervous system is a masterpiece, and full use of it allows us to unleash inherent power and inspiration to charter and comprehend the maze of theoretical and ambitious innuendos that flood the airwaves. Use it! 


We are all entitled to come to our own conclusions,  based on deductions garnered from information acquired. We must all learn to respect and appreciate each other's opinions, beliefs, mores, cultures, ethnicity, even though we may be built differently. This is the path to understanding, brotherhood, strength, and unbounded respect for each other.

FIRERASS  Harry Bissoon 2/13/2026 Mabel, up before sunrise, long before the cock, Natty, crows.  In haste, amidst hazy and foggy mist, she pushes herself to limits anew, to meet deadline, daily vows,   The light shines through neighba Aunty Breto's windows, in an eerie brightness.  It flashes,dances,and speeds into the still darkness,  Look! THE PANGS OF DEATH

Death is ever present, and  like a dark specter of doom, it hovers above and around us, waiting in the shadows to attack and devastate. It is envious of birth, which brings joy and happiness to us. Envious of our struggles down paths of thorns and roses.It follows us, breaching our defenses when and where we least expect it. Maybe this is why some of us celebrate death and mourn the coming of new life. Maybe this is why some of us glorify death and its painful throes of the unfettered release of our souls to be free of the agonizing clutches of life.
